Fly me to the roof

Every time when I stand on roofs I recall monologue from "Jeux d'enfants": Pure, raw, explosive pleasure! Better than drugs, better than smack! Better than a dope-coke-crack-fix-shit-shoot-sniff-ganja-marijuana-blotter-acid-ecstasy! Better than sex, head, 69, orgies, masturbation, tantrism, Kama Sutra or Thai doggy-style! Better than banana milkshakes! Better than George Lucas's trilogy, the muppets and 2001! Better than Emma Peel, Marilyn, Lara Croft and Cindy Crawford's beauty mark! Better than the B-side to Abbey Road, Jimmy Hendrix and the first man on the moon! Space Mountain, Santa Claus, Bill Gates' fortune, the Dalai Lama, Lazarus raised from the dead! Schwarzenegger's testosterone shots, Pam Anderson's lips! Woodstock, raves... Better than Sade, Rimbaud, Morrison and Castaneda! Better than freedom, better than life!

So, yeah, here are my new photos from one more Petersburg roof, enjoy:

Under Petersburg sky

Saint-Petersburg is the best what Russia has. I know many people who came here, went home, packed bags and moved to this city forever. The City has mysterious, warm and very saturated atmosphere. Every single walk is a big celebration. Saint-Petersburg is the only place on Earth where I wanna live, grow my kids and die. I really advice you to visit it.

So, photos will say more.

Moscow Metro: from 1950 to 2014

Moscow Metro (subway, underground) was opened on 15th of May 1935 and immediately received the title of the most beautiful in the world: first subway stations built using 20 kinds of marble and granite. Mosaics, frescoes, sculptures, decorative ceramics were traditional for Soviet design. In this post I'd like to show you 5 beautiful Soviet and modern stations that were opened from 1950 to 2014 and details from other 3.

Vernal Hello!

Hello, dear readers!

Did you notice my new cover picture? I wish to thank wonderful Moscow painter Mary Shmakova for her soul and labour. If you wanna see more of her artworks click here: http://mrsvanderbiltt.deviantart.com

It's been a long time since I didn't post anything. I hope nobody thought that it was because of laziness or absence of ideas. :)

I can't leave Russia the most unfamiliar country, so let's continue the road.

In the end of May I plan to move from Moscow, so if you want to see something from the Russian capital, tell me and I'll take pictures with a big pleasure. In Summer I'm gonna visit the lake Baikal and the Caucasus (the region that I wanna see the most on planet). So stay tuned and see you in Russia!

See you in Russia on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/seeyouinrussia

Van Gogh Alive. Exhibition-meditation.

Vincent van Gogh is a great example of World's need in mad artists. It makes us feel that art and unusual life are only for mads. And we say to children: "Oh, it's famous painter, he was crazy, he cut off his ear!". And our children become economists and lawyers... In my view, Vincent was just great example of someone who looks for love and truth. Not more crazy than others but more honest with himself.

ARCHIDAY

I don't know when and why I became to love architecture. It was even before I fell in love with Ted Mosby, but it happened. And now buildings and other elements of urban environment are alive and close for me. Not because of bricks and boards, but due to architects who put soul inside each brick. And everything in this post is about it.
